David Hockney is a British artist known for his contributions to the 1960s Pop Art movement. His art centers around the extraordinary within everyday life and the act of looking. Born on July 9, 1937, he has been a practicing artist for over 70 years. He is a painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer.
